Out From The Shadows

I have return. Can’t imagine how long I’ve been away from here.(Looks at previous post) o_o Anyway, I’ve finally decided to revive this dying blog of mine by updating it with events on my personal life.

I’m currently working at Tiny Island Production as a 3D artist. Doing modeling, texturing and visual effects. We are currently working on a US base production now which is very effects intensive. Good luck to us all! Well people say the pay here is shitty, but I think that experience is more important than pay for now.

As for music, yes, I’m still actively playing. Currently in 3 bands now. One for leisure jamming. One J-Rock band. And a session one for gigging.(MUSE anyone?) Not much to talk about though, but please do support. XD

And yes, I’m still in the cosplay business. Now preparing for 3 upcoming shoots next month. Then SOY after that. I do hope I can make it through without failing.

That’s all for now. Occasionally, people ask me why do I get involved in so many activities that require a lot of time. Answer is simple; so that I would not get spoiled by having too much time in my hands by not doing anything and eventually become lazy. I seldom tell people that I’m bored because I would normally occupy myself with something to do. Be it doing 3D, practicing my instrument or doing props and costumes.

So yea, hopefully this post makes up for the amount of time lost here. Apologies to the people who have been camping for new posts since the last one.(Whether you gave up or not)

1 Year Anniversary

Ah! It’s been 1 year since I started cosplaying.  Well I can’t say I’ve been chionging a lot. LOL. Been taking it rather slowly now that my classes have started. But looking back at the 1 year, I guess I’ve really learnt a lot. From makeup to sewing to props making and fabric selection. I really wanna thank the cosplayers who’ve helped me and given me advice for this past year; Seras, Shizu, Kiri, Stanman,  Blacklash, Jesuke, Yumi and all the photogs. Also made a lot of friends through events and shoots. Anyway, I did Zero from Mahou Tsukai Kurohime on cosfest day 2. I know the series received a very low reception due it not having an anime. But nevertheless, I like the character Zero, and hence I cos him. Pics will be up soon at http://socialriotmachine.deviantart.com/. Recent Happenings

Ok, I know I’ve been MIA here for a long time. But who cares about this blog other than me? lol.

Ok, recent events since the last post. EOY, SOY’ B, lots of outings, Shizu’s farewell, Stan’s self-pwning, Project Neo Council shoot and cosplay plans for this year.

-takes deep breath- Here we go. Eoy was my 4th and last big big for last year. Went as Battousai but wasn’t happy with how I had done the character. Will be better. SOY’ B, well I did not cos. But I did turn up at the event and regretted not cosing coz of the better and more conducive venue. Ok, Shizu’s farewell dinner turned out to be a tearful event for most people. Well don’t need me to explain why, it’s too much. But life goes on, blah-blah-blah. Stan’s self-pwning – LOL! The most recent shoot I did was for Project Neo Council. It’s like a “band idol” shoot kind of thing. Only it’s VK related.  Pics are uploaded in my DA but not complete yet. And my cosplay plans for this year.

Yep, that’s all for now. Might have last minute additions and cancellations. Ok moving on, I have completed my drumset for now. Hardly have space for any more improvements. But it is still not my dream set yet. One day I’ll complete it. That said, I’ve cam-whored my baby and put it here. It sounds almost similar to Kai’s drumset, especially the cymbals. The set itself is way off because this is a low-end set and I don’t have space for a high-end one.

Epic Proportions

Ok, the header pretty much explains everything for the next art piece. Topic on gargantuan. Meanwhile, I’m slowly building up my cymbals around my drumkit. Got the china, splash and hi-hats. Just could not figure out the exact crash cymbals that Kai of the Gazette is using. I only know that it’s Zildjian A Custom. But the A Custom series has the normal crash, fast crash, projection crash, rezo crash and the medium crash. I’m guessing it’s not the medium and rezo crashes from the sound and videos I’ve heard and watched. It’s most likely to be 18″ fast crash, 19″ normal crash or 19″ projection crash. Anyone who knows or have the bandscore book please help out here. Thanks and cheers.

GCA pics up. YEAH! Second cosplay event as a cosplayer. Ok, after thoughts. Think I applied too much eyeliner, lol. Yup, would tone down a bit for AFA. Not many poses to do also, considering it’s a new character. Have to improv most of the poses. Well one problem is, I still look stiff in front of the camera. Art Topic

Ossu! It’s been a while. Yea, a long while… This post is for the 9 sets of crappy artwork I’ve done for the past 2 wks. Revolves around 3 themes. Cowboy, Undertaker and Sea Monk. Sea Monk was like wtf, went to research wad it is straightaway after the topic is announced. Found some mythological drawings and idols. But then, none of my drawings are reference to my research, lol. Ok, enough of  talking and more of drawing.
